Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center and Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center recently installed da Vinci Xi Surgical Systems for minimally invasive procedures in the areas of gynecology, urology, thoracic, cardiac and general surgery.

This state-of-the-art upgrade to their robotic system assists their surgeons in performing delicate and complex operations through a few small incisions. This approach results in improved recovery times and decreased pain from traditional open surgery.

Walking is a core part of the human experience. It is practical and also a powerful metaphor for the forward movement of our lives. In fact, when we talk about the story of our life, we normally describe it as journey. A long walk.

Walking with someone else takes the basic function of walking to another level.

Adventist HealthCare White Oak Medical Center and Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center have been recognized by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) for demonstrated expertise and commitment in treating patients with chest pain. These Adventist HealthCare hospitals have earned Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI Accreditation based on rigorous onsite evaluation of the team’s ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat patients who may be experiencing a heart attack.

Adventist HealthCare Earns Washington Post Top Workplace, Only Healthcare Provider to Make the List

Adventist HealthCare earned a spot on The Washington Post’s list of Top Workplaces 2021 in the Washington, D.C., area. Adventist HealthCare was the only provider of medical services on the list of 200 employers from public and private industries, nonprofits and government agencies. Moreover, Adventist HealthCare was one of only 12 organizations that The Post honored in the largest company category.

When I was growing up, memory verses were a fact of life. There are still dozens of them tucked away in my head. Oftentimes, they come back to mind at moments when they are most appreciated, like today’s verse.

There is no shortage of things to worry about—and most of us have a pretty long list. Our health, kids, parents, co-workers, the economy, getting older, how we look, the future, being loved and accepted, job performance, safety, diet. Did I list anything you worry about?
