Washington Adventist University and Adventist HealthCare have renewed their long-held partnership toward enhancing education, training, and, ultimately, care for the community.

The world of healthcare is tumultuous on its best days. Adventist HealthCare is a strong presence in the DMV community and beyond. As the pandemic has spread across the region, Adventist HealthCare has been a significant resource for the surrounding states and municipalities, offering support to a populace in need of quality healthcare. Washington Adventist University has become a resource for Adventist HealthCare by providing qualitycandidates for nursing and other healthcare field jobs.

The Association of Independent Institutions, named Patrick E. Crarey, II 2020 A.I.I. Athletic Director of the Year this week. Crarey, in his tenth year leading W.A.U. Athletics & Men’s Basketball has added another milestone in his legacy. It’s the first time in W.A.U. history that an award of this magnitude has been given to a WAU athletic director.

Washington Adventist University (WAU) is proud to offer high-quality Christian education in the nation’s capital through which its mission to develop competent moral leaders is achieved. Although the challenges that COVID-19 has presented continue to make predicting the future difficult, WAU will move forward with this mission. Multiple contingencies are planned for many eventualities. An awareness of the distress some of these measures make on traditional student life is guiding WAU to seek guidance and think outside the box.
